Georgia's accession to NATO, EU looks acceptable to most respondents polled by NDI
TBILISI. July 26 (Interfax) - The goal of joining NATO and the European Union declared by the Georgian leadership looks acceptable to most respondents polled in a public opinion survey conducted by the U.S.-based National Democratic Institute (NDI).
In particular, 77% of those polled see Georgia's accession to the EU as acceptable and 16% as unacceptable; and 66% view the country's accession to NATO as acceptable and 23% as unacceptable.
The NDI polled 2,261 people from June 18 to July 9.
