Foreigner in Primorye sentenced to 2 years in penal colony for calls for terrorism on social network
VLADIVOSTOK. July 27 (Interfax) - A court in Primorye has jailed a foreign citizen who posed calls for jihad on his account on the Internet, the Primorye prosecutors said on Thursday.
"A judicial collegium on criminal cases of the Far Eastern District Military Court found the man guilty of making public calls for terrorism. The court sentenced him to two years in a penal colony," the report said.
The court found that the man posted materials containing calls for jihad using suicide bombers (shahids) and justifying terrorism on his personal page on the Vkontakte social networking site in January-May 2016.
