Bucharest endangered lives of plane passengers, including women and children - Rogozin
MOSCOW/CHISINAU. July 28 (Interfax) - Authorities in Romania put the lives of passengers of the S7 flight which was barred from flying over the country at risk, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin has said.
"Romanian authorities endangered the lives of the S7 flight passengers, women and children. There was enough fuel to make it to Minsk. Wait for a response, creeps," Rogozin wrote on Twitter.
The Russian official was en route to Chisinau for talks with President Igor Dodon at his invitation. The following day he and the leader of Moldova were to travel to Bender to attend festivities marking the 25th anniversary of the peacekeeping operation in Transdniestria.
However, Romanian aviation authorities said they would not allow the plane with Rogozin to traverse their airspace. According to the Romanian Realitatea television channel and other Romanian media outlets, the ban is effective for all aircraft regardless of airline company and country.
