U.S.-Russia relationship is "some rock bottom" - Russian ambassador to UN

NEW YORK CITY (UN). July 28 (Interfax) - The relationship between Russia and the United States today is at the lower level than during the Cold War, Russia's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Vasily Nebenzya said.

"This was repeatedly said: that such relations as we have now with the United States did not probably exist even during the Cold War years," Nebenzya told journalists at the UN on Friday, when asked to characterize the current level of the U.S.-Russia relationship.

"I don't know where that baseboard is, below which we cannot fall, we are simply at some rock bottom," Nebenzya said.
