Putin to visit Far East
MOSCOW. July 31 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit the Far East at the end of this week, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
"We have a trip to the Far East planned for the second half of the week. Vladimir Putin will travel to the Far East. We will announce the itineraries later," Peskov told reporters.
The president has not come to Khakassia, as some media outlets reported, he said.
Media outlets reported earlier that the president's plane was seen in Abakan where Putin had allegedly arrived for an informal vacation.
