RusHydro RAS net profit down 16% to 23.8 bln rubles in H1 2017

MOSCOW. July 31 (Interfax) - RusHydro's net profit to Russian Accounting Standards (RAS) declined 16% year-on-year to 23.8 billion rubles in H1 2017, the company said in a report.

Revenue grew by 1.7% to 58.2 billion rubles during the period, while cost of sales was up 5.3% to 27.4 billion rubles and profit from sales declined 1.3% to 30.8 billion rubles.

Other revenue declined 30% to 5.2 billion rubles, while other expenses rose 30% to 6.4 billion rubles.

Long-term borrowing amounted to 76.5 billion rubles as of the end of June, down from 94.9 billion rubles as of the end of 2016. Short-term borrowing rose to 34 billion rubles from 14 billion rubles.

RusHydro, which manages hydroelectric stations in Russia, has 38.9 gigawatts of installed capacity, including the generating capacity of RAO Energy Systems of East and the Boguchansk HPP.
