Death toll from attack on funeral in Armenia rises to 4
YEREVAN. Aug 1 (Interfax) - One of the people wounded in a recent attack on a funeral in Armenia's Aragatsotn region has died in a Yerevan hospital, bringing the incident's death toll to four, the Armenian Health Ministry's press service said.
An unknown man burst into a funeral hall in a cemetery in the village of Shamiram and opened fire on people attending a funeral there on Tuesday, killing three people and wounding another five, the Armenian police press service said earlier.
The assailant, armed with a Saiga hunting carbine, managed to escape.
It has been tentatively concluded that a domestic dispute is behind the attack, the press service said.
Armenian law enforcement agencies are taking measures to establish the attacker's identity.
An investigation is ongoing.
