One Ukrainian serviceman injured in Donbas - Kyiv

KYIV/DONETSK. Aug 4 (Interfax) - The intensity with which the Ukrainian government forces have been shelled did not change radically on August 4, with one Ukrainian serviceman sustaining an injury, the press center of the military operation the Ukrainian government forces are conducting in Donbas said in a bulletin posted on Facebook on Friday.

"In the Donetsk sector, one Ukrainian serviceman sustained an injury as our strongpoint was shelled with grenade launchers at about 6 o'clock in the morning," it said.

At about noon, Ukrainian government forces' positions were shelled with 120mm mortars in the Pisky area.

In the Luhansk sector, the militia shelled grenade launchers and small arms upon Novooleksandrivka in the Popasna district four times at night and during the day.

In the Mariupol sector, Ukrainian forces twice came under fire in the village of Chermalyk, the Volnovakha district, the Donetsk region.

The self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) had said earlier on Friday that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had violated the ceasefire 50 times over the previous 24 hours.

"The Ukrainian Armed Forces fired upon 15 populated localities in the republic with artillery, mortars, weapons of armored fighting vehicles and armored personnel carriers, grenade launchers and small arms," a DPR military command member told journalists.
