More than 3,000 Ukrainian army servicemen killed in Donbas conflict - General Staff

KYIV. Aug 8 (Interfax) - As many as 3,178 Ukrainian army servicemen have been killed since the beginning of the operation in eastern Ukraine, a spokesman for the Ukrainian General Staff told Interfax on Tuesday.

"The Ukrainian army has lost 3,178 men since the start of the operation," he said.

Overall fatalities suffered by the Ukrainian army and law enforcement agencies in the Donbas conflict zone top 3,600, the spokesman said.
