Zarechnaya Coal Company replaces board member, to change CEO again
KEMEROVO. Aug 9 (Interfax) - Shareholders of Zarechnaya Coal Company, located in Polysayevo in Russia's Kemerovo region, have decided to relieve one board member of their duties early and elect a new board of directors at an extraordinary meeting on August 8, the company said in materials.
Yevgeny Prilepin has been replaced by Victor Shchukin. Their official capacities have not been disclosed.
Shchukin was the CEO of Kazakhstan's Bogatyr Coal which is owned by Kazakh company Samruk-Energy and Russia's Rusal . In June, Ugol Kazakhstana acquired 64% of LLC Interconsulting, which owns 99% of Zarechnaya, together with debt.
The former CEO of UVZ-Logistic, part of Uralvagonzavod, Dmitry Yeremeyev kept his seat on the board along with Ugol Kazakhstana director Chingiz Ibragimov and Mikhail Rodionov and Nikolai Korobovsky.
According to Zarechnaya materials, a session of the board of directors has been scheduled for August 9. The agenda includes the early termination of the duties of Zarechnaya's CEO as well as the election of a new CEO and Chairman. The coal company is currently headed by Nikolai Chikalev.
Zarechnaya did not comment to Interfax on the reasons behind the management reshuffle.
