Russian deputy foreign minister Bogdanov, Moscow Group leader Jamil discuss military-political situation Syria

MOSCOW. Aug 14 (Interfax) - The Russian president's special representative for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov has received Syrian opposition Moscow Group leader Qadri Jamil.

"The conversation involved a discussion of the current military-political situation in Syria and the challenges of swift political settlement for this country on the basis of the UN Security Council resolution 2254," the Russian Foreign Ministry said on its website on Monday.
