Turkey ready to accept Russian specialists' help with Coxsackie virus - Rospotrebnadzor
MOSCOW. Aug 17 (Interfax) - Russian specialists can go to Turkey for helping stabilize the Coxsackie virus sickness rate, the Russian Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing (Rospotrebnadzor)'s website said in a statement.
"Rospotrebnadzor has been working with Turkey to coordinate stabilization efforts; enquiries have been made via diplomatic channels regarding the possibility of expert visits, and Turkey has given its definite consent and expressed readiness to receive Russian specialists," the report said.
Earlier this month Rospotrebnadzor warned tourists about a Coxsackie virus outbreak in Antalya, Turkey.
Coxsackie virus is an enterovirus transmitted through water, air and personal contact. Patients are advised to seek medical attention as soon as they manifest the first symptoms.
