Ukrainian Defense Ministry does not believe in saboteur's detention in Donetsk
KYIV. Aug 17 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian Defense Ministry has denied information on a Ukrainian saboteur's detention in Donetsk.
"As you know, the Ukrainian Security Service has already responded to the fake news. This information is completely untrue: this man has nothing to do with security services and was not carrying out any mission. We are, however, verifying information about his former service with the Ukrainian army or other formations," Defense Ministry spokesman Oleksandr Motuzyanyk said at a press briefing on Thursday.
The Ukrainian Security Service earlier denied information about the detention of a Ukrainian saboteur in Donetsk.
The self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) Security Ministry said on Wednesday that a Ukrainian saboteur plotting to blow up a TV tower had been detained in Donetsk.
