Russian Defense Ministry signs contracts worth 170 bln rubles with defense cos at Army 2017 forum
PATRIOT PARK (Moscow region). Aug 24 (Interfax-AVN) - The Russian Defense Ministry has signed 23 state contracts worth over 170 billion rubles at the Army 2017 international military-technical forum, Russian Deputy Defense Minister Yury Borisov said.
"Twenty-three state contracts and three additional agreements worth more than 170 billion rubles have been signed with 17 defense industry enterprises today," Borisov said after the signing ceremony.
"The focus has been on buying precision-guidance weapons, most of which have been tested in Syria," he said.
More than 600 units of military and special-purpose hardware weapons will be delivered to the Russian Armed Forces, and over 200 units will be repaired and upgraded as a result of these contracts, he said.
