CSTO secretary-general visiting Armenia for talks with national leadership
MOSCOW. Aug 28 (Interfax) - Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Secretary-General Yury Khachaturov will meet with the Armenian president, the foreign and defense ministers, and the parliament leadership during his visit to Armenia on August 28-30, CSTO press secretary Vladimir Zainetdinov told Interfax on Monday.
"A meeting with Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan is due to take place during Yury Khachaturov's visit. The CSTO secretary-general is also expected to have negotiations with Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian, Defense Minister Vigen Sargsyan, and the parliament leadership," Zainetdinov said.
"This is a leg of his tour of CSTO member countries aimed to prepare a session of the Collective Security Council and a joint meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers, the Council of Defense Ministers and the Committee of Security Council Secretaries that will take place in Minsk in fall 2017," he said.
