Industrial park set up on premises of Taraz Metallurgical Plant in Kazakhstan

TARAZ. Aug 28 (Interfax) - An industrial park has been put into operation on the premises of the Taraz Metallurgical Plant in Taraz - the Zhambyl region's administrative center, the regional administration's press service has said in a statement.

The project is aimed at attracting investment for the development of the industrial sector, according to the statement.

The plot of land with an area of 41 hectares was allocated for the industrial park with infrastructure, including production, administrative, storage facilities and a vehicle fleet owned by Taraz Metallurgical Plant, according to the statement.

In the near future, the plant administration plans to launch a business incubator to be based in a building with an area of more than 7,000 sq meters.

Taraz Metallurgical Plant is part of the vertically integrated SAT & Company mining and metallurgical holding company. The plant specializes in products for alloying steel: ferrosilicomanganese, for hardening manganese, and substances for electrodes.
