Growth in Russia's restaurant market accelerates to 3.1% in July - Rosstat

MOSCOW. Aug 30 (Interfax) - Turnover at restaurants, cafes and bars in Russia, which registered growth in June after five straight months of decline, grew 3.1% in July 2017 year-on-year to 117.3 billion rubles, the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) said on Wednesday.

The market had grown 2.4% in June. The year-on-year decline in July 2016 was 3.7%.

In January-July, turnover increased 0.6% to 768.5 billion rubles. Turnover in the first seven months last year was down 2.6% year-on-year.
