Video conference of Contact Group on Ukraine yields no results - Luhansk

LUHANSK. Aug 31 (Interfax) - The video conference participants of the Contact Group on Ukraine ended on Thursday without results, Vladislav Deinego, LPR envoy in the Minsk negotiations, said.

"The Contact group video conference ended with absolutely no results. As was expected, Ukraine became the initiator only to imitate active work in the full absence of real actions to ensure ceasefire observance," Deinego said on his Facebook page.

"Ukrainian representatives had nothing to say about the facts of real ceasefire breaches by Ukrainian military units registered in OSCE SMM reports," he said.

Deinego also said Ukraine had not made any real proposals on maintaining the ceasefire in Donbas during the video conference.

"They [representatives of Ukraine] did everything to generally avoid answering questions as to what measures are being taken by Ukraine to ensure absolute ceasefire observance due to the start of the school year," he was quoted by the Luhansk Information Center as saying.

"The OSCE SMM did not register any breaches committed by us, although there is a far-fetched fact that we conducted live fire at a firing range. They presented that as information on a probable breach, although it is not a breach," Deinego said.
