UN sends 41 tonnes of humanitarian aid to breakaway Donbas

KYIV. Sept 1 (Interfax) - The United Nations has sent seven humanitarian trucks carrying hygiene kits and school supplies to the Luhansk region's areas outside of Kyiv's control, the Ukrainian State Border Service' press service said on Friday.

The UN trucks crossed into the uncontrolled territory at the Novotroitske checkpoint, it said. "The trucks delivered hygiene kits and primary school packages with a total weight exceeding 41 tonnes to residents of the Luhansk region," the press service said.
