Russian Emergency Situations Ministry advises tourists to refrain from visits to Elbrus region
MOSCOW. Sept 2 (Interfax) - The Russian Emergency Situations Ministry has urged tourists to refrain from visiting Mount Elbrus and its vicinity in Kabardino-Balkaria due to a mudslide.
"Works in recovery of the mudslide's consequences are currently underway in the area of the emergency situation. Due to that, the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry advises to refrain from visiting the Elbrus region of the Baksan district in the republic in this period," the ministry's press service said.
Works will conclude in the near future, the press service said. "Following it, tourists will be able to go to Mount Elbrus," it said.
