Kremlin believes Serebrennikov case notable, but refrains from commenting on issue
MOSCOW. Sept 4 (Interfax) - The case of stage and film director Kirill Serebrennikov is a notable one, but the Kremlin has nothing to add to all that has already been said on this issue until the court's ruling, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
"The investigation is ongoing; investigators have questions to the defendant, as he is a defendant, not a guilty man. Only the court can find him guilty. And as long as these questions exist, as long as they're looking for an answer to them, I don't think anything should be added to all that has already been said," Peskov told reporters on Monday.
"This is a notable case, it is certainly on the public agenda," Peskov said, when asked whether the Kremlin is following Serebrennikov's case and how closely.
