Russia increases revenue from agricultural exports to Kazakhstan 28% in Q1 to $1 bln - Agroexport

MOSCOW. May 28 (Interfax) - Russia exported agricultural products to Kazakhstan worth $1 billion in Q1 2026, up 28% compared to the figure for a year earlier (around $760 million), while in physical terms, supplies increased 1.5-fold from 1.6 million tonnes to 2.4 million tonnes, the Agroexport federal center said, citing expert estimates.

"Exports set new historical highs both in weight and in monetary terms," it said.

The top five main types of agricultural products exported from Russia to Kazakhstan included wheat (over $105 million), sugar (over $89 million), flour confectionery products (around $80 million), sunflower oil (over $72 million), and chocolate confectionery products (approximately $69 million).

The highest growth rates in export revenue were shown by shipments of oats (from $20,000 to $1.7 million), corn (from $675,000 to $26 million), rapeseed oil (from $6,000 to $200,000), buckwheat (from $135,000 to $1 million) and wheat (from $15.5 million to $105 million).

"In addition, compared to the same period last year, supplies of bran (4.7-fold), flax seeds (fourfold), rye (2.8-fold), and starch and inulin (twofold) increased noticeably," Agroexport said.
