Russia suspends exports of ammonium nitrate until April 21, 2026 - Agriculture Ministry
MOSCOW. March 24 (Interfax) - Russia has tightened restrictions on exports of ammonium nitrate for the period from March 21 to April 21, 2026, the Agriculture Ministry said.
The validity of issued and to-be-issued export licenses has been suspended. Exceptions are supplies carried out under intergovernmental agreements.
"The restriction was introduced based on a decision of the operational headquarters of the Russian Agriculture Ministry to monitor the supply of nitrogen fertilizers to agricultural producers and the procedure for their implementation. In the context of growing export demand for nitrogen fertilizers, suspending their supplies abroad will make it possible to prioritize meeting the needs of the domestic market during the spring field work period and ensure their uninterrupted conduct," the ministry said.
