MINSK. March 10 (Interfax) - Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has offered Belarusian specialists' assistance in building a nuclear power plant in Uzbekistan and cited Belarusian-Russian cooperation in this area as an example.

"We are aware of your interest in our specialists in terms of constructing a nuclear power plant. We have developed these competencies thanks to the Russians. We are working together with the Russians in every part of the world where they are building nuclear reactor units," Lukashenko said at a meeting with Uzbek Ambassador to Belarus Rakhmatulla Nazarov in Minsk.

Lukashenko invited Uzbek specialists to visit Belarus at any convenient time and discuss every aspect of cooperation.

"We will facilitate the construction of your nuclear power plant. We'll do our best to make sure that our specialists provide you with all the assistance they can. You'll see for yourself how we can be of interest to you," he said.
