EAEU leaders discuss key areas of union's activities in 2026

ASTANA. Dec 22 (Interfax) - Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has taken part in a narrow-format Supreme Eurasian Economic Council meeting, which took place in St. Petersburg, the Kazakh presidential press service said in a statement.

"The meeting was devoted to reviewing the priorities and key areas of the Eurasian Economic Union [EAEU]'s work for 2026. The participants also exchanged views on a number of practical issues related to the current EAEU activities," the statement said on Sunday.

Along with the Kazakh president, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, and Eurasian Economic Commission Board Chair Bakytzhan Sagintayev attended the narrow-format meeting.
