Russia boosts exports of chemical products 22.6% to $28 bln, imports 2.6% to $44.8 bln in 10M - Federal Customs Service
MOSCOW. Dec 10 (Interfax) - Russia boosted exports of chemical products and vulcanized rubber 22.6% year-on-year to $28 billion in January-October 2025, the Federal Customs Service posted on its website.
As reported, Russia exported chemical products totaling $24.8 billion in January-September, thus the figure increased 10.3% month-on-month to $3.2 billion in October.
Imports of chemical products rose 2.6% year-on-year to $44.8 billion in January-October, with companies boosting imports 7% month-on-month to $4.6 billion in October.
This involves products under Foreign Economic Activity Commodity Nomenclature (FEACN) codes 28-40, particularly inorganic and organic chemical products, pharmaceutical products, fertilizers, dyes, essential oils and resinoids, perfumes, detergents, lubricants, adhesives, explosives, photographic and film products, other chemical products, as well as plastics, crude rubber, vulcanized rubber and products made from it.
As previously reported, Russia increased exports of chemical products and vulcanized rubber 1.3% year-on-year to $27.6 billion in 2024, while trimming them 4% to $53.5 billion.
