Chinese premier says Beijing ready to further deepen cooperation with Moscow - Chinese Foreign Ministry
BEIJING. Nov 18 (Interfax) - China stands ready to continue to develop multifaceted cooperation with Russia pursuant to the orders issued by the leaders of the two countries, Chinese Premier Li Qiang said at a meeting with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin in Moscow.
"China is ready to work with Russia in accordance with the orders from the heads of the two states, to strengthen interaction and coordination and to constantly deepen mutually beneficial cooperation with the aim of creating greater benefit for the peoples of both countries," the Chinese Foreign Ministry quoted Li as saying.
China stands ready to further advance cooperation with Russia in investment, energy, agriculture and other sectors and welcomes the arrival of large quantities of high-quality Russian agricultural and food products into the Chinese market, Li said.
The Chinese premier said he is hopeful that the Russian side "will offer more opportunities to Chinese enterprises investing and operating in Russia."
He also called for more extensive people-to-people exchanges and exchanges in culture, education and film production, "bringing more human warmth into Chinese-Russian regions."
According to the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Mishustin said for his part that "today's Russian-Chinese relations of comprehensive strategic partnership and cooperation in the new epoch are at an unprecedentedly high level."
Russia is ready to continue to advance trade, energy, agriculture and cultural cooperation with China, create new points of growth and enhance good neighborly relations all the time, Mishustin said.
Moscow stands ready to create a favorable business environment for Chinese enterprises investing in Russia, he said.
The Chinese premier has arrived in Moscow to attend a meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Council of Heads of Government.
