Russia boosts wheat gluten exports to India 9-fold to over 1,500 tonnes in 9M - Agroexport

MOSCOW. Nov 7 (Interfax) - Russia increased exports of wheat gluten to India 9-fold year-on-year to over 1,500 tonnes in January-September 2025, while the value of the exports grew almost 7-fold to $1.7 million, the Agroexport federal center reported, citing estimates by experts.

Russia started exporting this product to India in 2020. Until 2025, the amount exported in one year never exceeded $1 million, Agroexport said.

India was the fourth biggest importer of wheat gluten from Russia in 9M 2025, behind Saudi Arabia, which purchased around 2,000 tonnes, Turkey with over 3,500 tonnes and Norway with around 4,000 tonnes.
