Turkmen President Berdimuhamedov to meet with U.S. President Trump during visit to Washington

ASHGABAT. Nov 1 (Interfax) - Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov will hold a bilateral meeting with President of the United States Donald Trump and take part in a C5+1 summit during his working visit to the U.S., the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper said on Saturday.

Turkmen Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov reported to the president about preparations for his visit to Washington, the newspaper said. Having heard the report, Berdimuhamedov said that there are good prospects for the further development of Turkmen-Russian relations.

"The upcoming visit to the U.S. aims to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation between our countries," Berdimuhamedov said, giving Meredov relevant instructions related to preparations for the U.S. visit.

As reported, the C5+1 summit will take place on November 6.
