Russian deputy PM, UAE ambassador discuss prospects of implementing joint energy projects

MOSCOW. Oct 7 (Interfax) - Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak has met with Emirati Ambassador Muhammad Ahmad Al-Jaber in Moscow to discuss cooperation prospects, including in energy, a Russian government statement said on Tuesday.

"Special attention was paid to matters concerning the development of the power industry, including the prospects of implementing joint projects, sharing experience and introducing innovative technologies. [The sides] stressed the importance of strengthening their cooperation on traditional and renewable energy," the statement said.

The sides also examined possibilities of a broader investment partnership and developing new areas of cooperation, it said.
