Armenian PM, EU commissioner for enlargement discuss partnership priorities
YEREVAN. Sept 19 Interfax) - Armenia's Prime Minister has told the European Union's Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos that EU support is important for the country's economic diversification, transport and infrastructural development, the Armenian government's press service said in a statement on Friday.
"Kos reaffirmed the EU's strong support for the efficient democratic reform process in Armenia. She said the EU highly appreciated the process of building regional peace conducive to further development and deeper cooperation," the statement said.
The meeting took place in Yerevan on Friday, it said.
The two sides also discussed bilateral partnership priorities, the EU-backed projects being implemented in Armenia, ways to develop economic partnership and the visa liberation dialogue.
Earlier, Kos said the EU would provide Armenia with over 200 million euro under the Resilience and Growth program.
