Uzbekneftegaz, Turkey's ADO Mining discuss possibly localizing chemical reagents for oil and gas in Uzbekistan

MOSCOW. Aug 8 (Interfax) - JSC Uzbekneftegaz and Turkey's ADO Mining have discussed possibly establishing production of chemical reagents used in the oil and gas sector in Uzbekistan.

"The Turkey partners have received detailed information on the activities of the free economic zones in Uzbekistan, particularly regarding the territorial location, infrastructure capabilities, tax and customs benefits, legal guarantees, and measures of government support for investors," Uzbekneftegaz said.

Specific proposals, plans for localizing import-substituting products, and organizing local production were discussed during the meeting. The technical and economic basis for producing the chemical reagents of barium and calcium carbonate in Uzbekistan, the placement of production facilities, and cooperation formats were specifically considered.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to establish mutually beneficial cooperation, as well as conduct additional technical and economic analysis of industrial cooperation and investment projects.

ADO Mining has production facilities in Turkey, India, the United States, Indonesia, the United Arab Emirates, Tunisia, Morocco, and Canada.
