UAE president: Relations with Russia developing swiftly, hoping to double trade in next 5 years

MOSCOW. Aug 7 (Interfax) - Relations between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Russia have been developing swiftly, and there is hope that bilateral trade will double in the next five years, UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan said.

"Our relations have been developing at an advanced pace in recent years," he said at the beginning of negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"Russia-UAE trade has reached $11.5 billion. There is also trade between us and EAEU member states, which amounts to $30 billion," he said.

"We would like this number of double in the next five years, both in direct relations between our countries and in relations between EAEU members," he said.
