New Ukrainian PM predicts at least 3% GDP growth in 2025
MOSCOW. July 18 (Interfax) - Ukraine's GDP should grow at least 3% in 2025, Ukrainian media quoted Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko as saying.
"In aggregate, if we account for Made in Ukraine, which adds 0.65% to GDP, we plan and predict that GDP should grow by at least 3% this year," Sviridenko said at the Verkhovna Rada before being endorsed for the prime ministerial post on Thursday, according to the meeting's transcript cited by media.
As reported, the National Bank of Ukraine in April revised its GDP forecast down to 3.1% from 3.6% in 2025 and down to 3.7% from 4.0% in 2026 compared to January's macroeconomic projections. The 2025 state budget is based on a government forecast of 2.7% GDP growth. According to the state statistics service, real GDP grew 0.9% in the first quarter of 2025.
