Belarus reduces minimum export prices for number of dairy products for all markets except Russia

MINSK. July 8 (Interfax) - Belarus' Agriculture and Food Ministry has reduced the lowest minimum prices for specific types of goods sold under foreign trade agreements, and the ministry published the corresponding resolution, dated July 7, on the National Legal Internet Portal on Tuesday.

The resolution indicates that as of July 8, butter with milk fat content over 72% but less than 80% may not be sold on foreign markets, except for Russia, for less than $7 per kilogram versus the previous $7.30 per kg. The price for the Russian market has remained at 580 Russian rubles per kg.

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko earlier spoke about problems on the Russian market, particularly with sales of Belarusian butter, and called for increased export diversification.
