Ukrainian Border Service updates border crossing statistics

MOSCOW. June 30 (Interfax) - The number of people who crossed Ukraine's western borders over the week from June 21 to 27, 2025 increased by another 2.4% to 678,000, following 12.2% growth the week before, Ukrainian media reported referring to the State Border Service's social media post.

The number of people who crossed into Ukraine last week grew to 320,000 from 313,000, while the number of those leaving Ukraine was up to 358,000 from 349,000 the week before, it said.

The number of vehicles crossing the border increased to 137,000 from 135,000 over this period, and the number of vehicles carrying humanitarian aid cleared to cross the border grew to 545 from 507.

According to the United Nations Refugee Agency's reports updated on May 31, 2025, the number of Ukrainian refugees around the world was estimated at 5.620 million (down from 6.918 million as of April 17, 2025), including 5.059 million in European countries outside of Ukraine (down from 6.358 million).

Inside Ukraine, according to the UN's information updated in April 2025, there were around 3.757 million internally displaced persons (IDPs), up from 3.669 million recorded as of the end of 2024.
