Air Arabia cancels flights to Russia until June 20

MOSCOW. June 16 (Interfax) - Air Arabia has canceled all flights to Russia until June 20, inclusively, because of the worsened situation in the Middle East, the airline company said on its website.

The carrier's flights to Jordan have been grounded until the same day. Also, it will not fly to Lebanon until June 17 and to Iraq and Iran until June 30.

Earlier reports citing Russia's Federal Air Transport Agency said that Air Arabia could restart flights to Russia from Monday, June 16. Flights from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) would carry primarily tourists who were supposed to fly in the previous days.

Flights to and via the UAE have been cancelled or delayed due to the aggravation of the conflict between Iran and Israel, which led to partial airport closures and airspace restriction. According to the Russian Union of Travel Industry, the situation has affected about 10,000 Russian tourists.
