Ukrainian Border Service updates border crossing statistics
MOSCOW. June 16 (Interfax) - The number of people who crossed Ukraine's western borders over the week from June 7 to 13, 2025 increased by 3% to 590,000, Ukrainian media reported referring to the State Border Service's social media post.
The number of people who crossed into Ukraine last week grew to 324,000 from 311,000 the week before, while the number of those leaving Ukraine was up to 266,000 from 262,000.
The number of vehicles crossing the border increased to 127,000 from 125,000 in this period, and the number of vehicles carrying humanitarian aid cleared to cross the border was the same as over the previous week, 514.
According to the United Nations Refugee Agency's reports updated on May 31, 2025, the number of Ukrainian refugees around the world was estimated at 5.620 million (down from 6.918 million as of April 17, 2025), including 5.059 million in European countries outside of Ukraine (6.358 million).
Inside Ukraine, according to the UN's data as of the end of 2024, there were around 3.669 million internally displaced persons (IDPs).
