Kazakhstan exceeds OPEC+ quota by 274,000 bpd in May - S&P
ASTANA. June 11 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan's oil production in May 2025 amounted to 1.76 million barrels per day (bpd), according to a review by S&P Global.
Kazakhstan's oil production quota under the OPEC+ agreement for May was 1.486 million bpd. Thus, according to S&P Global, Kazakhstan exceeded its OPEC+ quota by 274,000 bpd in May.
In April, Kazakhstan's oil production was 1.77 million bpd against a quota of 1.473 million bpd.
As reported, on June 2, eight OPEC+ countries (Saudi Arabia, Russia, Iraq, the UAE, Algeria, Kuwait, Kazakhstan and Oman), which previously implemented oil production cuts totaling 2.2 million bpd, decided to again increase their collective quotas by 411,000 bpd starting in July.
