Ukrainian State Border Service updates border crossing statistics
MOSCOW. June 2 (Interfax) - The number of people who crossed Ukraine's western borders over the week from May 24 to 30, 2025 increased by 1.4% to 506,000, Ukrainian media reported referring to the State Border Service's social media post.
The number of people who crossed into Ukraine last week grew to 253,000 from 245,000 the week before, while the number of those leaving Ukraine was down to 253,000 from 254,000.
The number of vehicles crossing the border remained roughly the same, around 124,000, and the number of vehicles carrying humanitarian aid cleared to cross the border rose slightly to 524 from 517.
According to the United Nations Refugee Agency's reports updated on April 17, 2025, the number of Ukrainian refugees around the world was estimated at 6.918 million, or 15,000 fewer than on March 20, 2025, including 6.358 million in European countries outside of Ukraine.
Inside Ukraine, according to the UN's data as of the end of 2024, there were around 3.669 million internally displaced persons (IDPs).
