Gorshkov leaving VTB, former head of Pochta Bank Pakhomov elected new deputy chairman
MOSCOW. May 29 (Interfax) - VTB Deputy Management Board Chairman Georgy Gorshkov, who is developing the group's retail business, is leaving his position, the bank said.
Alexander Pakhomov has been elected as the new deputy chairman. In his new position, he will be responsible for the group's retail business under the supervision of VTB First Deputy Chairperson Olga Skorobogatova.
"We are facing ambitious tasks in developing the retail business, primarily in the area of digital services, developing partnership projects, and introducing new products that will be most in demand by all categories of VTB clients. In the near future, we will have to enter new client segments for the bank and complete the integration of RNKB and Post Bank."
"Alexander Pakhomov has extensive experience in projects of this scale and will help us achieve our goals," Skorobogatova was quoted in the statement.
Gorshkov continues to work for VTB Group, the bank's press service told Interfax.
VTB serves more than 26 million active retail clients. The bank's individual savings portfolio is about 11 trillion rubles, and its loan portfolio exceeds 7 trillion. The bank serves clients in all regions of Russia, both through its office network and with the help of visiting managers. In June of this year, VTB will complete the legal merger of RNKB, and next year Post Bank.
Pakhomov headed Pochta Bank since 2022 before his appointment at VTB, prior to which he held senior positions at Otkritie Bank, where he oversaw the retail business and regional network. He was a member of the supervisory board of the insurance company Rosgosstrakh, Rosgosstrakh Bank, Open Digital Solutions, and Binbank. He held senior positions at VTB 24 prior to this.
