Kazakhstan to boost oil exports to Germany in 2025 - minister
ASTANA. April 28 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan intends to boost supplies of its own oil to Germany in 2025, Kazakh Energy Minister Erlan Akkenzhenov said.
"We plan to add volumes and increase supplies to Germany. The German side is ready to double or even triple the volumes. However, this depends on Russia's transit capacity and relevant commercial agreements," Akkenzhenov told Interfax.
Earlier, the press service of KazTransOil said the volume of Kazakh oil delivered via the Uzen-Atyrau-Samara trunk pipeline into the Transneft system for further shipment to Germany in January-March 2025 grew by 25.7% year-on-year to 377,000 tonnes.
Previously, KazMunayGas (KMG) said that Kazakhstan planned to supply 1.5 million tonnes of oil to Germany via the Druzhba pipeline in 2025. In 2024, the same volume of 1.5 million tonnes was exported in this direction.
Kazakhstan has been delivering oil to Germany since 2023 via the Transneft pipeline system to the Adamowo Zastawa oil delivery point.
KazTransOil is part of the KazMunayGas group and owns a network of pipelines spanning 5,400 kilometers.
