Ukrainian State Border Guard Service provides border-crossing statistics

MOSCOW. April 21 (Interfax) - Passenger traffic across the Ukrainian border grew 20.1% over the week to 586,000 on April 12-18, while the net inflow increased from 22,000 to 82,000, Ukrainian media said, citing statistical data from the State Border Guard Service.

According to the data, arrivals grew 31.0%, from 255,000 to 334,000, while departures increased by 8.2%, from 233,000 to 252,000.

The number of vehicles crossing border checkpoints grew from 127,000 to 132,000, while the number of humanitarian trucks increased from 548 to 594.

An update from the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees estimates the number of Ukrainian refugees at 6.918 million worldwide, including 6.358 million in Europe as of April 17, 2025, down by 15,000 from March 20.

As of late last year, there were 3.669 million internally displaced persons in Ukraine, the UN said.
