Moldovagaz to continue gas supply to Transdniestria on Thu, Hungarian MET Gas supplies not reported so far

CHISINAU. Feb 13 (Interfax) - Moldovagaz will continue gas supply to Transdniestria on Thursday, and 2.7 million cubic meters of gas purchased at the Romanian Commodity Exchange will be supplied, acting Moldovagaz Board Chairman Vadim Ceban said.

"For a second day in a row, i.e. on February 12, 2025, Moldovagaz purchased 28,728 MW/h (about 2.7 mcm) of gas at the Romanian Commodity Exchange, using the advance payment from Tiraspoltransgaz (including VAT) with next day delivery to consumers on the Dniester eastern bank (on February 13, 2025)," Ceban said on Telegram.

Moldovagaz supplied 5,50 mcm of gas to Transdniestria on February 11-12, including 3 mcm as a loan approved by the Moldovan authorities and 2.59 mcm purchased at the Romanian Commodity Exchange on February 11.

Moldovan Prime Minister Dorin Recean said earlier that the Hungarian company MET Gas and Energy Marketing AG would be suppling Transdniestria with up to 3 mcm of gas per day starting on February 13.
