Russia boosts agro supplies 20% to Egypt to exceed $3 bln in 2024 - Agroexport center
MOSCOW. Feb 4 (Interfax) - Russia boosted exports of agricultural products 20% year-on-year to over $3 billion to Egypt in 2024, the Agriculture Ministry's Agroexport center said, citing preliminary expert estimates.
The main export product was wheat at 84% of deliveries.
Sunflower oil at 13%, soybean oil at 2%, and dried lentils and chickpeas under 1% each were exported.
Agroexport said that the role of Egypt as a logistics and investment hub in the North African and Middle Eastern regions is very significant for Russia's foreign trade.
