EAEU agricultural producers increase prices for products 3.9% in Nov - EEC
MOSCOW. Dec 28 (Interfax) - Agricultural producers in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) increased prices for their products 3.9% in November 2024 compared to the same month last year, the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) said.
Growth stood at 2.9% month-on-month and 2% since the beginning of the year.
Producer prices for crop production increased 4.7% year-on-year in November while prices for livestock production grew 1%.
Agricultural producers in Belarus raised prices for their products 9.2% YoY in November, in Russia they grew 2.1% and in Kyrgyzstan 1.5%. However, prices fell 4.5% in Armenia and 2.2% in Kazakhstan, the EEC said.
Armenian farmers sold wheat at $281 per tonne in November, Belarusian producers at $135, Kazakh producers at $140, Kyrgyz producers at $228 and Russian producers at $135 per tonne. Producer prices for pork were lowest in Belarus, at $1,201 per tonne. Agricultural producers in Armenia sold pork at $6,379 per tonne, in Kazakhstan at $1,653, in Kyrgyzstan at $2,259, and in Russia at $1,251 per tonne. Poultry meat prices were highest in Armenia, at $6,392 per tonne, while in Belarus they were $851, in Kazakhstan $1,756, in Kyrgyzstan $2,190, and in Russia $1,155 per tonne.
For Armenia, the data represent slaughter weight, while for Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia the data represent live weight, the EEC said.
Release prices for eggs were lowest in Belarus, at $65 per 1,000 units. Prices in Kazakhstan were $76, in Russia $80 and in Armenia $168.
