Ukraine expects around $8.5 bln in international aid in Dec - NBU governor

MOSCOW. Dec 12 (Interfax) - Ukraine expects to receive around $8.5 billion more in international funding from its partners this December, National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) Governor Andrei Pyshny said at a press briefing in Kiev on Thursday, as Ukrainian media reported.

In particular, this refers to the European Union's funds under the Ukraine Facility program, precisely slightly more than 4 billion euros, with the seventh tranche of the International Monetary Fund's (IMF) $1.1-billion loan under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF), NBU Deputy Governor Sergei Nikolaichuk said.

The NBU expects the foreign funding to reach $38 bln in 2025, he said.

The total funding of the state budget's general fund in 2024 amounted to $47.3 billion, of which $14.9 billion is the placement of domestic government bonds, while the other funds are foreign financing, the Finance Ministry said. The grants totaled $9.2 billion in this amount, it said.

Overall, the volume of funding from international partners reached $106.0 billion for 2022-2024, it said.
