Russia boosts wheat exports to Africa 35% to 21 mln tonnes in 10M - Agroexport
MOSCOW. Dec 12 (Interfax) - Russia boosted exports of wheat to African countries 35% year-on-year to over 21 million tonnes in January-October 2024, the Agriculture Ministry's Agroexport center said, citing analysts' estimates.
Specifically, supplies jumped 6-fold to Morocco, 3.7-fold to Nigeria, and 1.4-fold to Kenya.
Egypt, Algeria, and Kenya were the main importers of Russian wheat on the continent.
