Serbia hopes to sign new agreement on gas supplies with Russia in spring 2025
ST. PETERSBURG. Nov 21 (Interfax) - Serbia hopes to sign a new agreement with Russia on gas supplies, Minister for International Economic Cooperation in the Serbian government, Nenad Popovic, told reporters following a meeting of the intergovernmental committee on trade, economic and scientific-technical cooperation.
"We hope that we will sign a new agreement on gas supplies to Serbia in the spring, the presidents will reach a decision, and the conditions for Serbia will be the same in the near terms or even better," Popovic said.
President Alexander Vucic previously said that Serbia had agreed with Russia on the terms and conditions of gas supplies for the coming winter. Vucic said that the Russian side "was honest" when agreeing on the terms and conditions of the deal and gas prices.
