Russian budget revenues from privatization might top 100 bln rubles in 2024, target for 2025 about the same - Siluanov

MOSCOW. Nov 21 (Interfax) - Russia's federal budget might earn more than 100 billion rubles from privatization this year and the revenue figure in 2025 is expected to be similar, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said.

"We've already carried out privatization totalling about 90 billion rubles this year, not 50 but 90, and we expect this figure to increase before the end of his year. We believe we'll be able to earn more than 100 billion rubles from privatization," Siluanov said in an interview with Nailya Asker-zade on TV channel Rossiya 24.

"But I'll say again, the objective is not just fiscal, the objective is also a large private sector in the economy of our country. It is no less important than money for the budget. Although for the Finance Ministry this is also a good source, of course," Siluanov said.

"For next year we're expecting to raise about the same amounts from the sale of federal assets, about 100 billion," he said.
